Painting for me began as a hobby, a personal journey of internal exploration and expression during life’s challenging times. Art courses, research and experimenting over the years slowly turned this occasional activity into an enduring passion.

The freedom to bring color, texture, depth and movement to a blank white canvas is truly magical for me. I thrive on the vision within each canvas where creativity has no boundaries, the possibilities endless. The thrill of another person connecting with one of my paintings touches me deeply.

I invite you to browse the selection of work listed here with the Ottawa Art Association. This collection is primarily modern abstract art. I use an intricate layering technique with palette knives and large brushes to produce earthy, vibrant tone on tone. Notice some paintings hold imbedded words and images which provide interesting contrast and dimension.

Purchasing art is highly personal. The selection process can be challenging. Often the perfect painting cannot be found to match one’s décor in the home, the office, the business, or to give as a special gift.

On a personal note about the artist…

Judith is active being mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to loved ones. She has a generous, caring soul. Her sense of humor is contagious. Each spring she becomes an avid gardener, patiently working the family’s large gardens. Daily, she tends to the ever-changing outdoor “canvas”, tweaking the color, texture, depth and movement of this beautiful “live art” until the landscape becomes a snowy “white canvas” waiting out the winter months.
